Seaside Memories features a hand-painted ceramic tiles mosaic created by Artful Afternoon participants and artist facilitator Lux Habrich. Inspired by local Atlantic Canadian folk art from the Permanent Collection, participants explored their own personal memories and sense of community.
In partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Artful Afternoon first began in 2014. The program offers a series of monthly art workshops and interactive gallery tours designed for those living with dementia, and their partner in care.
