Fans of The Group of Seven and other iconic Canadian painters will want to head to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia this fall for an exhibition that showcases the depth and breadth of one of the finest private collections in Canada. Focusing on key works from the Sobey Collections, this exhibition celebrates and explores the creative spirit of Canada’s greatest artists and features a cast of Canadian Pioneers that include: Emily Carr, Frederick S. Coburn, Maurice Cullen, Marc-Aurele Fortin, Clarence A. Gagnon, Cornelius Krieghoff, Jean-Paul Lemieux, David Milne, J.W. Morrice, Robert W. Pilot, Tom Thomson and The Group of Seven among others.
This first of its kind exhibition, features over 80 works and promises to be one of the biggest and best exhibitions of Canadian masterpieces to visit the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in recent years.
