- This event has passed.
February 9, 2023 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Join us for a behind-the-scenes demonstration of the process of creating painted animations. Led by artist Megan Kyak-Monteith, visitors will learn about her work and Inuit-led community storytelling and archiving.
Megan is an Inuk artist who uses a variety of techniques in her practice to recall memories of her childhood in Nunavut and Nova Scotia, including animations, painting, and storybook illustrations. You can visit Kyak-Monteith’s work in the exhibition Ta’n a’sikatikl sipu’l | Confluence, in the Mi’kma’ki Artists’ Spotlight section.
