Make Day! Africville’s Legacy

Join us on Sunday, February 5th to celebrate African Heritage Month in the studio. At Make Day! Africville’s Legacy visitors will pair watercolour and acrylic painting with collage, led by artist and educator Kim Cain visitors, and will learn about the community of Africville, it’s history, and destruction while making a 3-dimensional pop-up of Africville. Work independently, or with your small group, this program is great for children ages 5+ with an adult.
About the Program
Make Day is a studio program for emerging artists of all ages! Designed as an intergenerational art workshop, these sessions lead participants in a short art lesson that introduces an art technique or process, resulting in a fun art piece you can take home. A great way to get connected, inspired, and creative with friends or family.
