Make Day! Wooden Weaving

Join us at the Gallery for our upcoming Make Day inspired by the exhibition Ta’n a’sikatikl sipu’l | Confluence! Lead by Mi’kmaw artist and youth programmer Melanie Nasson, guests will use white ash to learn weaving in an activity inspired by Mi’kmaw baskets. Paint the weavings and seal them, before turning them into unique, wearable pins!
Work independently, or with your small group, this program is great for children ages 5+ with an adult. Drop-in, included with the price of admission.
About the program:
Make Day is a studio program for emerging artists of all ages! Designed as an intergenerational art workshop, these sessions lead participants in a short art lesson that introduces an art technique or process, resulting in a fun art piece you can take home. A great way to get connected, inspired, and creative with friends or family.
