The ArtReach exhibition All Around Us presents project artwork produced by grade 4, 5 and 6 students at École Joseph Dugas (located in Pointe-de-l’Église in Nova Scotia’s Clare region) in response to the art of Maud Lewis.
A key aspect of the ArtReach partnership mandate is supporting opportunities for students to participate in hands-on art-making activities. Guided by the project’s artist, Jay Leblanc, the students at École Joseph Dugas studied the artwork of Maud Lewis and then created their own richly layered works of art using a combination of drawing, painting and collage techniques.
