The Exhibition Plan has been planned around 3 guiding principles:

• Build research on Nova Scotia artists and the region’s cultural history through solo or group projects.
• Build on the history of the collection and develop new ways of interpreting that history by producing engaging exhibitions.
• Establish a regional, national and international context for Nova Scotia artists and their work.
• Exhibitions are planned to shine a light on the region’s cultural history and how it connects to the international art historical story.
