Pjila’si | Welcome to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia during NAIG 2023! We are excited to host your teams to experience art local to Mi’kma’ki and beyond! The AGNS has two bookable experiences for teams participating in the North American Indigenous Games, which you can learn about below, as well as additional on-going experience which you can find throughout this website.

Bookable Experiences

Your team can book a hands-on studio activity visit or a self-directed visit.

Hands-On Studio Activity
Join AGNS’s Indigenous Arts Programmer, Aiden Gillis (Mi’kmaw), for a guided tour of the exhibitions Ta’n a’sikatikl sipu’l | Confluence and Arctic/Amazon: Networks of Global Indigeneity followed by a hands-on weaved medallion activity using black ash splints and sweetgrass.

This is an exclusive program for NAIG teams and is free for team bookings. AGNS also has free admission to Indigenous visitors all year round. This activity and tour can be done in 60 or 90-minutes bookings.

Self-Guided Visit
Want to explore the Gallery on your own? This option is great for those who like to experience the Gallery at their own pace. This experience is free for NAIG team bookings, and there is free admission to Indigenous visitors all year round.
